Top 7 Tips For Running A Successful BlogMay 28th, 2012 adminJust posting thousand of blogs every day, doesn’t mean the readers are following you. We all know that a blog can be used to promote your brand, share products, or even create authority in your industry. But the question arises, how can you make your blog stand out? How do you get people to come back for more, or increase your amount of visitors or followers? If you have the questions, then definitely I do have an answer. Here are a few tips that I recommend you implement if you want to guarantee a minimum of success to your blog. 1. Great Design:I don’t mean only choosing the template that you like the most, but also customizing it to your needs and adding recognizable as very useful categories and menus. In the menus of course you need to present yourself-who you are and what you do and of course how others can get in touch with you. Your blog needs good looking but at the same it should be very easy to navigate. 2. Quality Content:Well, here is a point we haven’t heard before. As cliché as it sounds, quality content is the foundation of a successful blog. Without quality content, the hard work that you put into marketing your blog will definitely go to waste. It would be pointless to implement your strategies without quality content. 3. Post Often:When it comes to blogging it is very important to blog post often because people like to see new content and when they do they will keep coming back. The great thing about posting often is that you will have more pages online, which will give your site a better chance to land some visitors onto your site. 4. Go Social:Implement strategies through social media tools like Facebook and Twitter to get your brand out there. You can start by marketing your blog through these sites and posting updates to your followers when you post new articles to your blog. But don’t go overboard with this, if your tweets on tweeter are always links your blog, others will begin to ignore them. Mix things up by posting links, fun information, and interesting content. This will help you to stand out and achieve your goal of gaining traffic to your site. 5. RSS:Make sure a link to your RSS feed is available above the fold. Though they won’t help your AdSense revenues much, subscribers are the lifeblood of any successful blog. These devotees are often the ones providing you with regular comments, and are far more likely to be webmasters themselves. It should be obvious to anyone launching a blog, but it’s amazing how many new bloggers do not make a link to their RSSS feed readily available. New bloggers often don’t want to devote space on their site to an RSS feed when they could squeeze in a bit more AdSense. While this thinking is understandable, it is simply wrong. The returns of having subscribers are much valuable because subscribers’ drive-term traffic organically, while an additional AdSense provides at best a marginal short-term gain. 6. Comment:Read and post comments on blogs in your industry. Communicate and share your thoughts, opinions, and expertise. This will not only boost your credibility in your industry, but you will most likely get high quality back links to your blog. When you post comments, make sure they are providing quality feedback. This will draw attention to you and your site. When high profiled authors see your website and the quality of the content, you will start getting links back your site which will boost your search engine ranking. 7. Participate in Forums:Try to get into forums. Do a Google search on forums closely related to the topic of your blog and actively participate them. When you have helpful and quality feedback on a topic in the forum that is beneficial to the topic author, naturally, the author and a number of other readers and commentators will want to find more helpful information that you have to provide.
