A winner of the Connecticut Business and Industry Association’s Family Business Award, the Suffield-based in-store marketing firm Windsor Marketing Group (WMG) places a strong emphasis on client service and social responsibility. The firm’s origins stretch back to 1976, when a college junior decided to follow his entrepreneurial ambitions. It began with two associates and 10 clients. Today, approximately 185 Windsor Marketing Group associates serve more than 3,000 clients throughout the United States.
Over the years, WMG has remained on the cutting edge of new technologies and business opportunities; building its own screen printing operations in 1995; implementing large-format, turbo digital technology in 2007; and moving into a 100-percent self-contained, state-of-the-art facility in 2016. Reflecting the values of the Family Business Award, the company has established strong partnerships with nonprofits such as Foodshare, and has organized multiple philanthropic events, such as the annual Bald Eagle Open golf tournament. The business management book Conscious Capitalism by John Mackey featured WMG in its 2013 edition.
