How We Got Started
I founded West Village Speech Therapy with a deep passion for helping children unlock the transformative power of communication. Early in my career, I recognized that many children with speech or language challenges had immense potential to connect with the world around them—but often lacked the tools to express themselves fully. This realization led me to explore how assistive technology could bridge this gap.
Throughout my years of experience, I’ve seen firsthand how underutilized assistive technology, particularly augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) devices, can be in speech therapy. Too many children are not given the opportunity to access these powerful tools, which can dramatically improve their ability to communicate, engage, and thrive in both social and academic settings.
With a deep knowledge of the technology and a passion for helping children succeed, I built West Village Speech Therapy as a resource for families seeking innovative solutions. My goal has always been to guide children toward greater independence and confidence through customized therapy plans that incorporate the right assistive technologies for their unique needs.
