We will turn advertising fees for the automotive industry into financial aid for injured veterans. All automotive and related companies- from the micro-sized repair shop to the major car manufacturer- can buy space on our website. All net profits--100%-- will be donated to approved funds for veterans, as per the Articles of Incorporation for this Public Benefit Corp. Think: ''Smart-with-a-Heart.''
Think: ''Commerce-to-Cause''
America's reliance on the automobile began 100 years ago when mass production began in 1913. Our determination to keep that freedom to go, move, explore and expand in this country was easily met by plentiful and cheap oil. Ike has been self-employed in the automotive repair business for 40 years. Denise was a Special Education teacher and tutor/advocate before joining the business to handle the website, advertising, communications and basic office duties. We now recognize that the life-blood for the prosperous automotive industry kept coming despite rising costs, politics, wars, regime collapses and uprisings, and the sacrifices and terrible injuries of almost one million volunteer soldiers who stepped up and out of the comfort of their neighborhoods-- into the military infrastructure that kept the fuel flowing from one side of the world to the other for another decade. Soldiers do not get to choose their wars. We do that for them. Military historians now say that we don't know how wars will end. But if we can live with the knowledge that only 1% of our population are defending our national interests--one very crucial to the automotive industry-- we in that industry from top to bottom can try to balance the scales by giving back to the veterans --easily 1,000,000 -- who came back to experience joblessness, homelessness, medical drug addiction, life in a wheelchair or bed, loss of memory, impaired emotions, or personality changes--and lack of purpose. Without their daily mission and team strength, the combined losses push twenty- two (22!) veterans a day to suicide. We must accelerate aid to the suffering veterans and restore their trust in American society.
