The Studio Doctors was founded on a simple belief: great gear deserves a long life, and new gear should be built to last. We are engineers, yes, but first and foremost, we are devotees of sound. It all started with a passion for the elegant circuitry and unparalleled character of vintage audio equipment. Co-founders Jon Hill and Connor Moore found themselves not just using this gear, but needing to understand it, preserve it, and ultimately, improve upon it. What began as a mission to rescue classic consoles and tape machines from the scrap heap evolved into a full-service atelier for audio repair, custom creation, and OEM manufacturing. Based in Los Angeles, the heart of the music and audio world, we are proud to be the trusted technicians and innovators for world-renowned studios, touring artists, and leading equipment manufacturers.
