Previous to ranching in Waxahachie, Texas, Stacy Cary spent much of her career in the oil and gas industry. For more than 20 years, she served as an administrator with her family's independent oil and gas exploration firm, Patland Oil Company. During this period, she also earned certification from the Gemological Institute of America. Moreover, Stacy Cary supplemented this role as the owner of GeOasis. With that company for 13 years, she imported and sold all natural products such as gemstones, minerals and wood from South America and Africa. Furthermore, she assisted her family business as vice president of the investment firm Grayson Equities, Inc. and additionally continues to serve as co founder and partner with the real estate developer Grogans Park Group LLC.
Outside of her professional responsibilities, Cary is a mother and wife, caring for her two adopted children. In 2002, she completed the complex process that enabled her to adopt two Russian orphans, both younger than 1 year old at the time. Taking multiple trips to Russia to comply with adoption law, she visited multiple orphanages, traveling across Siberia. Eventually she was matched with two infants who came from two different regions in Siberia. Stacy Stine Cary finalized the adoptions in December of that year and brought them home to celebrate Christmas on her ranch.
