Scott Sohr serves as the president of STS Ventures, a Nashville-based company that acts as an incubator for the development of startups. In this capacity, he has created and grown more than seven successful businesses across a variety of industries, including finance technology, real estate, and healthcare. Under Scott Sohr’s leadership, these businesses have created more than 8,000 new jobs and have a collective revenue of more than $2 billion.
A graduate of Auburn University and the Owen Graduate School of Management at Vanderbilt University, Mr. Sohr holds both a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering and an MBA. The first business he created was a company that sold engineered thermoplastics to molded plastic manufacturers. This business was created during his sophomore year at Auburn. Since then, he has created such businesses as Built Technologies, Elmington Capital Group, and Correct Care Solutions.
When he’s not busy leading his business, Scott Sohr is an active member of his community. He serves on the Owen Graduate School of Business Real Estate Advisory Board and is actively involved in Gilda’s Club, a charitable organization that is an affiliate of the cancer support community. Further, he supports Best Buddies, an organization that promotes friendships and employment among individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities.
