Located on Robert Street in Downtown St. Paul, Sawatdee Thai Restaurant began in 1983 as the first Thai restaurant in the five-state area. Minnesotans were intrigued by the sweet, sour, bitter and salty taste combinations found in authentic Thai cooking and cuisine. Over thirty years and six locations later, Sawatdee has become a Twin Cities favorite. Each location offers slightly different menus to reflect the preferences of people in each area, but all who dine at are celebrities and are treated with love, respect, and peace. Sawatdee Saint Paul was the first Sawatdee as well as the first authentic Thai restaurant in the Twin Cities. Located in lowertown, it has been referred to as ''''the old Sawatdee'''' since it closed down a few years ago. And, now, we are back!
