Proficient in the growing body of energy law, Roger Rosendahl represents clients in corporate, securities and finance matters, including mergers and acquisitions, technology licensing, and privatization and project finance cases, among others. His clients represent a broad range of worldwide interests, such as developers, acquiring companies and those being acquired, investment and commercial banks, borrowers, and sovereigns. Currently a partner with DLA Piper LLP’s Corporate and Finance practice, Roger Rosendahl is adept at successfully navigating the often bewildering and overlapping maze of national and local laws and regulations pertaining to siting, building, and operating energy facilities. He is also skilled at maximizing the many governmental incentives available to the builders and operators of energy facilities.
With the current level of interest in alternative forms of energy at an all-time high, Roger Rosendahl possesses a broad range of experience handling cases related to facilities powered by gas and coal, hydro-electric power, geothermal, biofuels, wind, and solar energy and is a frequent speaker and author on energy matters, including, most recently, ''How Wind Power Can Lower Energy Costs'' in North American Wind Power, ''The Politics of Solar Siting,'' in North American Clean Energy, ''The Bright Side of the Blackout'' in The Deal, and ''Lessons from La La Land'' (on the California Energy crisis) in Metropolitan Corporate Counsel Magazine.
