Licensed independent clinical social worker and trained psychotherapist Dr. Robin Ohringer brings a range of clinical and academic experience to her work at her private practice in Cambridge, Massachusetts. With 35 years in the field and over 20 in private practice, Dr. Robin Ohringer has also published research on topics such as motherhood, single-parent families, and childhood mental health.
Dr. Robin Ohringer previously served as a clinical social worker at McLean Hospital in Belmont, Massachusetts, where she worked for more than 15 years with children, adolescents, and families in both inpatient and outpatient environments. During this time, she received an award for her research on midlife mothers, career-focused women who have their first child at age 35 or later.
Dr. Ohringer’s formal educational background includes a BA in child studies from Tufts University, an MSW from the Smith College School for Social Work, and a PhD in social work from the Simmons School of Social Work.
