Board certified in radiation oncology, Dr. Rizwan D. Nurani most recently practiced with the MultiCare Regional Cancer Center in Tacoma, Washington. Dr. Rizwan Nurani brings experience in a number of surgical procedures, including brachytherapy and CyberKnife stereotactic radiosurgery. While at Multicare, he oversaw CyberKnife multi-institutional trials as a principal investigator. Additionally, Dr. Riz Nurani has provided radiographic imaging services, including chest X-rays and CT scans, which are essential in annual screenings of heavy smokers in order to detect lung cancer. He aims to assist patients throughout the diagnosis process and put them on an individualized treatment course. Throughout his career, Dr. Riz Nurani has emphasized leading-edge techniques and technologies. He is actively involved with the American Brachytherapy Society and the CyberKnife Society, as well as the American Society for Radiation Oncology. Moreover, he has authored papers on cancer treatment and MRI imaging, and presented before colleagues on the topic. Rizwan Nurani, MD, received his doctor of medicine from the University of Washington School of Medicine.
