A New Jersey-based entrepreneur, Ralph Serpe founded Kemsco Construction and Equipment Company in 1982 and has since grown the utility contracting business into a large-scale enterprise with annual average revenues beyond $70 million. By placing an emphasis on relationships with clients, Ralph Serpe has been able to sustain the business' growth over a 35-year period.
In addition to Kemsco, he cofounded EIC Associates in 1998. The company performs marine work and heavy construction for public and private companies throughout New Jersey, New York, Connecticut, and Pennsylvania and specializes in the construction of utility and street projects, environmental remediation, and tunnels and foundation structures.
Beyond his business pursuits, he enjoys spending time with his wife and three grown children and staying active through a regimen that includes cycling, strength training, working out with a personal trainer twice a week, and playing regular rounds of golf at Essex Fells Country Club, where he has been a member for more than 20 years. He also enjoys reading Forbes Magazine and The New York Times.
