After spending more than a decade in real estate sales, respected industry professional Peter Kelaher, Director of PK Property, decided that home buyers' interests needed to be better represented during the property purchasing process.
Peter discovered that 80 percent of people purchasing property in the United States hired the services of a Buyer's Agent, and that it was also becoming popular in the UK, yet there was nothing available in Sydney exclusively to protect purchasers from misinformation, overpricing and emotional impulse buying. A Real Estate Agent is there to get the best possible price for the vendor, so it made sense that someone should be working on behalf of the buyer to ensure they purchase the property at the best possible price.
As a result of his research, Peter introduced the concept of Buyer's Agents to the Sydney marketplace in 1997, and the company has since purchased well over 2000 properties worth more than $6 Billion dollars on behalf of home buyers, investors and developers. Peter has vast experience as a Property Editor and keynote speaker and is also an active member of the Real Estate Institute of NSW.
