Patrick Hull serves as president and director of institutional services for Madison, Wisconsin-based Bluepoint Investment Counsel. Since the firm’s breakaway from Morgan Stanley Smith Barney in 2012, he has directed an independent consultancy that focuses on advising clients responsible for administering large capital funds, such as Other Post-Employment Benefits (OPEB) required of public agencies, endowments and foundations benefitting universities, and qualified and non-qualified corporate retirement plans. Working with Bluepoint’s clients, Patrick Hull utilizes judicious fiduciary practices and appropriate investment diversification to manage their assets and safeguard their liabilities.
Among his earlier experience in financial services, Mr. Hull designed strategic investment plans for organizational clients as director of institutional accounts for Citi Institutional Consulting. Upon the purchase of Citi Institutional Consulting by Morgan Stanley Smith Barney, he continued to oversee the institutional portfolio for the firm’s Graystone Consulting branch.
When he is not advising clients on their investments, Patrick Hull enjoys hiking, cooking, and sampling the local cuisine wherever he has the opportunity to travel. He also plays trumpet professionally. He holds both a bachelor of arts in music and a master of arts in music performance from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire.
