A professional in higher education, Dr. Molly Beth Malcolm serves Austin Community College (ACC) as special assistant to the president. In this position, she regularly advises the president on issues that impact the academic community. In her leadership role, Dr. Molly Beth Malcolm also represents the president when interacting with stakeholders such as government officials, businesspeople, and media outlets. Before accepting her current position, she gained practical administrative experience as a paid intern with the ACC president.
Complementing the above, Dr. Malcolm serves as immediate past chair of the Community College Association of Texas Trustees. In the past, she sat on an array of academic and political boards and committees, including the Texarkana College Board of Trustees and the Association of Community College Trustees Public Policy Committee.
Dr. Malcolm, a Licensed Professional Counselor, earned her doctor of education with a concentration in community college leadership from The University of Texas at Austin. She also holds degrees from Southern Methodist University and Texas A&M University at Texarkana.
