Located in Hershey, Pennsylvania, Milton Hershey School provides a cost-free education to students from families of lower-income. Students in prekindergarten through 12th grade are enrolled and live in a family-like environment, where dedicated houseparents prepare meals, help with homework, and encourage participation in extracurricular activities. In the classroom, Milton Hershey School's highly-trained teachers engage students in a challenging curriculum with many opportunities for experiential learning experiences. Instruction at all levels incorporates technology and best practices, and older students have the opportunity to earn scholarships and college credits.
Milton Hershey School maintains a dedication to preparing students for success after graduation. An average of 90 percent of its seniors continue their education, in part thanks to the school's continuing education scholarship (CES) program. While working toward their high school diplomas, students also learn such practical skills as budgeting, time management, and cooking to help prepare them for their lives as independent adults. Students who go on to an Alliance Schools partner college also receive continuing access to career and education support.
