Possessing extensive experience in the fields of business and aviation, Mark Thek serves as the president of Los Angeles-based Esterline Power Systems. Under his leadership, Esterline, a company that designs and produces electrical power systems, has grown into a prominent international power distribution company with 3,000 employees around the world. Esterline’s products support many of the world’s most advanced aerospace programs. Prior to assuming control of Esterline, Mark Thek spent nearly two decades as an engineering director and physicist at Hughes Aircraft Company. There, he focused primarily on the development of advanced microwave radar technology products.
Outside of his responsibilities at Esterline, Mark Thek spends his time working on a book titled The Quantification of Human Emotion. He draws on his extensive background in science to take a unique approach to the examination of human emotion. Mr. Thek studied physics and mathematics at Cornell University as an undergraduate; he later continued his education at the University of California, Los Angeles, earning a master of science in physics.
