From offices in Houston, Texas, Macmichael Nwaiwu serves as senior national gas engineer with the Detroit, Michigan-based diversified energy provider DTE Energy and executive chairman of the Port Harcourt, Nigeria-based Global Dynamic Integrity Solutions. In these positions, Macmichael Nwaiwu manages a wide variety of project and data management functions while spearheading energy procurement operations and providing comprehensive environmental services. In addition to a bachelor of science and master of science in petroleum engineering, Macmichael Nwaiwu holds a PMP (project management professional) designation from the Project Management Institute. He also holds active membership in the Nigerian Institute of Safety Professionals and several other professional petroleum industry organizations. Outside of the professional arena, Mr. Nwaiwu is a frequent traveler and a member of the St. Martin’s Episcopal Church. He enjoys writing, practicing graphic design, going to the movies, shopping, and collecting antiques. Also an avid sports enthusiast, he likes to play soccer and attend live athletic competitions.
