Previously, Lisa M. Nousek served as a judicial clerk for Judge Steven Colloton with the Eighth Circuit Court of Appeals, where she assisted in drafting opinions and conducting legal research. She studied earth and planetary science at Harvard University, where she belonged to the university band and was actively involved with the Small Claims Advisory Service. After graduating magna cum laude, she went on to study law at the University of Virginia School of Law in Charlottesville, where she wrote an award-winning article and served on the Senior Editorial Board for the Virginia Tax Review.
