K.J. Paseka is a gifted hockey prospect who has been playing the sport since the age of five. He currently plays for the Northfield Mount Hermon School, which is a member of the prestigious New England Prep School Ice Hockey Association. Paseka, who is currently being recruited by several colleges, hopes to follow in the footsteps of Northfield Mount Hermon alumni Brian Pothier and Brian Strait, who went on to successful professional hockey careers. Paseka has played for some of the country’s top amateur hockey organizations. He started out as a member of the Atlanta Fire, one of the top clubs in the southeastern region. Paseka also has been a member of the Florida Panthers Alliance U18 club, the North American Prospects Hockey League, the Southern Amateur Hockey Association, and USA Hockey. Additionally, he has played for a number of Canadian traveling hockey teams, and has been a member of several USA select teams. He cites Ray Bourque, Nicklas Lidstrom, and Pavel Datsyuk as NHL greats who inspire his play. Outside of hockey, Paseka is an accomplished baseball player who has been a member of several World Series and championship-level amateur baseball teams. Previously, he was a member of a select traveling team, and was runner-up in a Home Run Derby competition. Although K.J. Paseka is known for his performance on the ice, he is just as committed to his performance in the classroom. A perennial honor roll student, he excels in math and science.
