As attending physician at Saint Agnes Hospital's Department of Emergency Medicine in Baltimore, Dr. Kenneth Mwatha builds on diverse experience working with vulnerable populations. Dr. Ken Mwatha began his career as a health science teacher in the Cathedral Home for Children's residential program for adolescents at risk. Dr. Ken Mwatha served for 19 months in this role before accepting a position as patient advocate and occupational skills teacher in the day program at Sheppard Pratt's Way Station of Howard County in Columbia, Maryland.
In 2003, Dr. Kenneth Mwatha enrolled in the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. He went on to complete his residency at the world-class Johns Hopkins Hospital and subsequently became attending physician at nearby Harbor Hospital's Emergency Department. He remained in this role until he accepted his current position in 2013.
Dr. Ken Mwatha shares his emergency medicine expertise as a contributing author to such texts as the John Hopkins Emergency Medicine Intern Guidebook and Images in Echocardiography: Giant Left Atrium. He has also contributed to a medical textbook scheduled for release by the publisher Wolters Kluwer, and has served as a research assistant on several studies conducted through the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine.
