I’m a mom, a finance and nonprofit professional, and a State Representative for Saint Paul. I’m running for mayor to stand up for our shared values and to make sure our city is run with efficiency, accountability, and transparency.
I’ve served our community in many roles—working in our public schools, at City Hall, in corporate boardrooms, and at the Minnesota Capitol. At every step, I’ve fought for affordable housing, safe neighborhoods, a thriving local economy, and the rights of our residents. Now, I’m ready to bring that experience and commitment to City Hall as your mayor.
Kaohly Her has dedicated her life to uplifting the people of Saint Paul. From advocating for immigrant families to supporting education, healthcare, and housing initiatives, her service has always focused on building stronger, safer, and more inclusive communities.
Mission
Kaohly’s mission is clear: create a Saint Paul where everyone has the opportunity to thrive — with safe neighborhoods, a vibrant economy, affordable housing, and protections for workers, women, immigrants, and future generations.
How We Got Started
Kaohly came to this country as a refugee, carrying with her a deep understanding of what it means to struggle and to overcome. That experience shaped her belief that government should work for people — not the other way around. She began her public service journey by organizing locally, advocating for equity, and serving in leadership roles that gave a voice to underrepresented communities.
