As an experienced project manager with the health care administration tool Epic, Julie Van Puffelen has helped numerous care centers and professionals to introduce new solutions with attention to both patient outcome and efficiency. Working within the implementation services division of Epic for 13 years, she served as project manager for 17 multi-facility customers. Julie Van Puffelen worked with professionals from a total of 115 hospitals across the country, facilitating all stages of project application, from pre-planning to go-live, while minimizing clinical risk and adapting systems to meet patient needs. She also served Epic as an executive nurse liaison, in which position she cultivated relationships with a network of chief nurse officers and information officers. She worked with these professionals in creating nursing informatic programs within their hospitals, often while also liaising with stakeholder hospitals to facilitate clinical readiness in the system implementation process. Julie Van Puffelen comes to her project leadership position with more than six years of clinical experience. She has worked in a variety of inpatient units, including physical medicine and rehabilitation, and holds a bachelor of science in nursing from Edgewood College. She is currently earning a master's certificate in project management.
