Drawing upon more than a decade of coaching experience, John Colombi leads as the head coach of the junior varsity lacrosse team at Rock Canyon High School in Colorado, where he is responsible for guiding the team to success through the implementation of in-game strategies and effective practice programs. In addition to his role with Rock Canyon High School, John Colombi operates as an assistant coach with Warriors Lacrosse and has coached for Doco Lacrosse in Highlands Ranch since 2012. He previously served in a head coaching capacity with Cougars Lacrosse and held assistant coach roles with a pair of youth football teams.
Before focusing on youth coaching, John Colombi worked 10 years as a firefighter in New York City and earned the Fire Bell Club Medal of Honor and Firefighters Quarterly’s Bravest Award. He began his career as a warehouse manager with Glendale, New York’s C&K Distributors & K-9 Caterers, where he was tasked with maintaining inventory and planning for future storage capacity of a 500,000-square-foot facility. A member of the Vintage Car Club, Mr. Colombi enjoys fixing up old vehicles and entering them in vintage car shows in his free time.
