Jeffrey Bussean is the president of Bussean Enterprises, a banquet and catering company based in Alsip, Illinois. He has run the company for more than four decades and has created elegant private-event venues such as the Grand Ballroom at Union Station and the Chateau Bu-Sche’. He handles everything at the company, including future planning, construction management, and public relations. Jeffrey Bussean prepared for his career by studying art composition design at Southern Illinois University School of the Art Institute of Chicago.
Outside of work, Mr. Bussean is a dedicated philanthropist. He supports a wide variety of community organizations, including the Illinois Philharmonic Orchestra as well as the Mercy Home for Boys, Mayslake Conservancy, and the Frank Lloyd Wright Preservation Trust. Additionally, he supports Sertoma, which improves the lives of individuals with hearing loss, and Plan USA, which helps children in developing countries.
Mr. Bussean also takes great interest in historic preservation. He moved an entire historic mansion to prevent it from being demolished and hopes to develop it into another event venue. Finally, he is a fan of music, especially opera, and plays guitar and violin when he has the chance.
