A managing director focused in research equity sales at New York's BTIG, Janina Casey's work experience dates back to her childhood. At this time she appeared in numerous commercials, acted in stage productions, and had a role on the TV show The Electric Company, for which she earned a Daytime Emmy Award nomination. Janina Casey also received a CLIO Award nomination for her work in a Tic Tac commercial. In 1978, Janina Casey enrolled at St. John's University and began working toward a career in finance. She earned a bachelor of science from the school in 1982 and was recommended by its faculty for the Citibank summer management training program. Upon completing the internship, she was offered a position with the company. Since 1999, Ms. Casey has held high-profile executive roles focused in research equity sales with prominent New York investment firms. She previously worked for Merrill Lynch and Telsey Advisory Group and presently serves as a managing director for BTIG. Beyond her professional pursuits, she is a board member for Urban Tech, a nonprofit organization which stresses social and emotional learning as critical to student success. She has also personally mentored and sponsored a pair of underprivileged students through four years of private school.
