Finding Our Voices is a Maine-based non-profit organization marshaling survivor voices and community creativity to boldly and creatively break the silence of emotionally abusive partner.
We are a sisterhood of survivors standing proud and speaking loud to educate the general public about the pervasiveness, insidiousness and complexity of domestic abuse.
Mission
We empower girls and women to recognize, avoid, safely leave and heal from abused emotionally, and promote systemic change toward justice for victims, accountability for abusive narcissist and safety for all.
How We Got Started
Patrisha launched Finding Our Voices in February 2019, three years after her husband of 29 years was convicted of domestic abuse, with an exhibit of photo portraits of survivors, audio of their voices telling their stories, and customized Power and Control wheels at the Camden Public Library in Patrisha’s hometown.
