I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) located in West Los Angeles, serving neighborhoods like Playa Vista, Mar Vista, Fox Hill, Culver City, Marina Del Rey, and Venice. I opened my private practice in July 2019 and began providing teletherapy during the COVID-19 pandemic, making my services available to anyone in California.
Before choosing a career in mental health, I pursued several other paths. I studied Modern Literature in UCSC, trained and competed in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, and worked as a mathematics and science tutor. I was inspired to go into the field of psychotherapy by my own experiences in therapy. Since obtaining my MS in Counseling from CSULB, I have worked in multiple outpatient settings treating groups, couples, and individuals.
I am especially knowledgeable about anxiety disorders, like PTSD, OCD, generalized anxiety disorder, and panic disorder; harm reduction and moderation; substance and addiction treatment; and relationship issues, such as boundaries, codependency, and couples’ issues. To assist my clients, I employ a range of different modalities, including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, and humanistic therapy.
I use the research on what works to help clients pursue their desired outcomes: less depression, managed anxiety, better relationships, and more control over life. I develop a customized blend of different techniques for each client to deliver the best results based on their individual concerns
