With a doctorate in Educational Administration, Sandra Ellis serves as a Faculty Instructor at the National Emergency Response and Rescue Training Center (NERRTC) in the Texas A&M University System, teaching in the Public Safety and Security-Homeland Security Division. Dr. Ellis holds a Master of Science and a Bachelor of Science in Education from Ohio’s Bowling Green State University. Her master’s studies concentrated in Guidance and Counseling.
As Managing Partner, Assistant Director, and Federal REMS Grant Program Administrator and Evaluator for the family-owned Ellis and Ellis Consulting, LLC, since 2006, Sandra Ellis specializes in training K-12 schools as well as universities in campus security programs. In her role as Assistant Director, she has trained organizations such as the Illinois Community College Board, the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, the Illinois Law Enforcement and Alarm System, and the Illinois Emergency Management Agency. Sandy Ellis has served numerous Illinois school districts as grant program administrator.
Before transitioning to her current positions, Dr. Ellis served as the Superintendent of Schools for Mt. Pulaski Community Unit District (CUD) #23 and North Chicago Community Unit School District (CUSD) #187. She also served as Interim Superintendent of Schools for Gillespie CUSD, Brooklyn USD, and Fulton County CUSD between 1994 and 2000.
