An undergraduate student in the Smeal College of Business at the Pennsylvania State University, Dylan DeNicholas anticipates graduating in May of 2016 with a bachelor of science in supply chain and information systems and a minor in international business. Besides having completed relevant courses at Penn State, including Principles of Marketing and Strategic Procurement, he has participated in the study abroad program at the Maastricht University School of Business and Economics in Maastricht, Netherlands. Through the program, Dylan DeNicholas traveled to six countries in central-Eastern Europe, studied societal changes before and following the collapse of the Berlin Wall, and examined case studies on the differing impacts of gradual and sudden policy approaches in the transition from a communist to a capitalist economy.
Complementing his academic work, Dylan DeNicholas has spent the past two summers interning as a procurement and sourcing analyst for international food importer and wholesaler Atalanta Corporation in Elizabeth, New Jersey. In this position, he has gained experience in areas such as developing cost-to-cash metrics and using historical data to produce statistical forecasts. Building upon his work with Atalanta, Dylan DeNicholas has earned the opportunity to participate in a cooperative education experience with the Hershey Company in the summer and fall of 2015.
