A licensed clinical psychologist at Be Well Morristown in New Jersey, Dr. Christine Cantner evaluates and treats patients who come to her with anxiety, depression, eating disorders (restrictive and binge eating), and many other issues relating to body image, gender identity, trauma, and bereavement. Dr. Christine Cantner uses a combination of cognitive behavioral therapy and other evidence-based therapy modalities, along with mindfulness-based techniques, to help individuals improve their emotional well-being. Prior to joining Be Well Morristown in 2017, Dr. Cantner conducted individual, group, and family therapy with adolescents and young adults at St. Christopher’s, Inc., in Dobbs Ferry, New York. She also trained and supervised clinical interns completing their master's degrees in mental health counseling. Dr. Cantner holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Studies in Women and Gender from the University of Virginia. She earned a Master of Science in Clinical Psychology and a Doctor of Psychology with a concentration in serious and persistent mental illness from Long Island University. A member of various professional organizations, Dr. Christine Cantner belongs to the American Red Cross Disaster Mental Health Team, the Women's Mental Health Consortium, and the Academy of Eating Disorders.
