Council for Educational Travel, U.S.A. (or CETUSA) is a foreign exchange nonprofit that has established partnerships with student organizations and academic institutions in over 50 countries. Providing opportunities for international students, interns, and trainees to gain valuable experience in the United States, CETUSA is fundamentally committed to bridging the gaps between diverse cultures. Promoting compassion and understanding, it has built a network of mentorships and friendships that spans the globe. The organization has been a leader in its field since 1995.
Operating in compliance with United States Department of State regulations, CETUSA enables program participants to obtain the J-1 visa, a U.S. visa that allows approved individuals to participate in a variety of work and study exchange programs. In 2009, the Council on Standards for International Educational Travel (CSIET) evaluated global exchange programs including CETUSA based on their proficiency in a variety of categories ranging from host family screening and school placements to parental notifications and effective communication practices. In the end, CETUSA outranked 19 of the top large foreign exchange facilitators to emerge as the leading high school program provider.
