As a licensed clinical social worker, Carolie Meccico has offered counseling and treatment to individuals and families with a variety of personal challenges. She has trained in such diverse methodologies as psychodynamic therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, and brief solution-focused therapy. She has also completed level 2 training in eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR). Carolie Meccico stands out as a certified eating disorder specialist (CEDS)through the International Association of Eating Disorder Professionals foundation and a clinically certified domestic violence counselor(CCDVC)and a Master Addictions Counselor (MAC)through the National Association of Forensic Counselors and has reached master-level certification in neuro-linguistic programming(NLP)as well.
Ms. Meccico prepared for her career at the University of Utah, where she earned the James Garland Woolsey Memorial Award for Achievement and Promise in Health and Rehabilitation Services. A member of Phi Kappa Phi, the country's largest and most elite academic honor society, she balanced her classroom studies with pursuit of practical experience. As an intern with the State of Utah's Domestic Violence service coordinator, Carolie Meccico collaborated on several public education project that communicated the effects of domestic violence on individuals, families, and the surrounding community.
