Be active on LinkedIn:You can grow your LinkedIn network when other people see that you are an active member on the social media platform. By constantly updating your status you will increase your visibility to others by regularly appearing in the LinkedIn newsfeed. Other people will then see you as a familiar face and may be more likely to connect with you on LinkedIn. You can increase your activity on LinkedIn by updating your status three times a day, commenting on other status updates, answering questions or commenting on other people’s profiles. 3. Use Linked at the best time of the day:Time is one of the biggest factors to be engaged with LinkedIn. It’s not like whenever you are on the house you will be posting status and updates. You need to be punctual and analyze the time when there will be maximum visits. The best time to be active on LinkedIn is in the afternoon or evening because most people use LinkedIn at this time. This means you can post your status updates at the best time for people to see and engage with them. 4. Join the groups:LinkedIn Groups are one of the most active areas of the network and the participation stats are quite compelling. You must jump into the new and popular conversations and add value as a member! Pick three to five groups that make sense for you to be actively involved. 5. SEO:Put on your SEO hat. Think about the type of person you want to reach and then make sure the appropriate words are in your profile so your name will pop up if those people run a search. Do a few test searches and see if your name comes up on top of the list (or on the first page, at least) or if it’s buried six pages deep. Think about your target network and/or look at the profiles of people in similar roles / industries to get some ideas of which keywords to include. 6. Answer to the questions:Another area you should check out is the Answers section, found under “More” in the navigation bar. You can search for questions in your areas of expertise from other professionals. By answering questions well, you can increase your visibility, make new connections, and establish your credibility.
