What's In It For Me |

What’s In It For Me Moving toward pleasure and away from pain. That’s what drives a LOT of our choices. Alcohol, drugs, food, shopping, isolating…. all things people do to feel better [pleasure] in the face of stress or discomfort [pain]. Even altruistc behavior is often done because it makes ME feel good. What’s in it for me? Problem is, pleasure seeking provides a short term fix. Like putting a band-aid on a gun shot wound. Doesn’t really solve anything, does it? But it does stop the pain. For now. Which feels easier than changing... ARE ANY OF THESE YOU? We try to change, but….
Thought I’d share a sneak peek into what goes on in my coaching practice, and what I do to get past the weed and to the root cause, to help clients move forward with change:
LEAVE THE MIRACLES TO GOD. THE TRUTH ABOUT YOU ALWAYS FEELS GOOD. IF YOU DON’T FEEL GOOD, YOU’RE NOT IN YOUR TRUTH. THE ONLY THING WORSE THAN THE PAIN OF YOUR PAST, IS RE-LIVING THAT PAST PAIN IN YOUR NEW NOW. Don't wait till January's resolutions to start changing. To your new now, now. http://www.smartrebrander.com/zippy/lv/73985/
