Intruder Alert |

INTRUDER ALERT! You have a bigger security problem, though. I’m talking about the negative thoughts and beliefs that hijack your mind and your body. What if I told you there is an intruder inside you is running haywire with your life? Danger, Will Robinson! The way to reclaim control of your mind and body from intruders is to reframe the story being used to run your life. Many negative thoughts and beliefs have been stored from childhood memories. Some are stronger than others and create an emotional imprint. These imprints determine your way of seeing yourself and your world. You think you’re running the show, but you’re running on imprinted defaults. Suppose you were ignored as a child. The memory of the ignoring along with all its painful emotions gets imprinted and becomes your reality. [No one paid attention to me. I must be worthless.] As an adult, things happen to trigger the imprint and you see and feel things like your child did. Often, you’re not even aware it’s happening, or why you feel so bad. The memory confirms its reality by repeating old painful feelings. [I feel bad, so it must be true – I AM worthless.] And you get to be “right”, so the catch-22 here is feeling awful allows you to affirm your reality, albeit dysfunctionally. Wow. Feeling bad about myself feels good. Can’t imagine why THAT would be a problem.. There IS a way out. Name it, [ACKNOWLEDGE] claim it [ACCEPT] and reframe it [TAKE RESPONSIBILITY AND INTEGRATE]. It takes time, but hey, you’re worth it. We can’t see the picture when we’re inside the frame. If you want help seeing the picture [and painting a new one] let me know. http://zippy9991.wix.com/fezzik#!home/mainPage
