Apple is seeking talented employees in India for the first time in history. It is reportedly approaching an engineering college in India at two locations. This is a big opportunity for Indian engineers to prove their worth at a global level. The college in which Apple is holding a placement session is India's International Institute of Information Technology and reports say that this much-anticipated placement drive will be held in the Hyderabad or Bengaluru facilities. The Head of placements at India's International Institute of Information Technology, TV Devi Prasad has stated that all people in the institute are happy that Apple has made a decision to visit for campus placement this year but it is not clear what sort of profiles will be offered to students. Graduating students will have an opportunity to showcase their skills in front of the Apple representatives. Apart from Apple, a few other international brands visiting India's International Institute of Information Technology this year’s placement are Google, Philips, and Microsoft. Media reports also mention that officials believe there has been an increase in the number of companies who are hiring for data science, artificial intelligence, and deep learning during this placement season. Explaining the general placement scenario at present, Prasad said that many companies plan to conduct technical interviews in which students who are well-versed with a computer language called Python might be preferred. Highlighting key profiles offered by most companies during this placement season, Prasad said that majority of firms are offering jobs in research & development and product development profiles.
