Not Again! |

Telling the Story
Sometimes telling my story in therapy has felt like a waste of time. I realize the counselor is gathering information, but it feels like blah, blah, blah to me. I want to yell, "not again!" Then there’s the whole “I don’t want to think about this, anymore; I already lived it once.” As a coach I get the same responses from clients. Here’s my thoughts on that:
Your story does not need to be your identity.
You can’t change the past, but you can put your past in the back seat – it can look for potholes- AND GET A NEW DRIVER. One who will help you get out of that parking lot and move forward on your journey. And remember to take your foot off the brake, Buttercup.
