Mission

How We Got Started

Welcome to Bethel Baptist Church, where a rich history of faithfulness spans over 150 years. Originally established by students from William Jewell College, our legacy of making disciples has been steadfast through the years. In recent years, especially during the pandemic, numbers had dwindled, however, a dedicated group of faithful members, predominantly in their 60s and 70s, ensured the church’s doors remained open. However, recognizing the need for revitalization, we forged a partnership with the North American Mission Board (NAMB) in 2021. Since then, we’ve embarked on a journey of renewal and expansion. Along came our new Pastor Marty Beamer, with the partnership of NAMB we are now growing at an amazing rate both spiritually in God’s word and numerically. Our small church building has undergone a transformation, and we are actively seeking a larger space to accommodate our growing numbers. Therefore when you visit with us please be patient with our tight facilities! With this revitalization, we are thrilled to welcome new individuals and families into our church community regularly.
