Although a tobacco company is not required by law to make misleading advertising claims about their products, Backwoods' Instagram feed is full of brand-specific flavors and messages that encourage smokers to smoke. Moreover, more than half of the images posted on the Instagram page were related to blunt-making. While these images may not necessarily be misleading, they could pose significant problems for tobacco control laws. In the end, Backwoods is not the only company with misleading advertising and packaging practices.
