Mindy has training in business development and got involved with Baby Otter after her child, who was 17 month’s old at the time, was found at the bottom of a pool. Fortunately, Mindy knew CPR and was able to revive her. This experience rapidly created a life-long mission for her and her business partner, Marlene. They have been working this program together for 50 years and are proud to be saving lives.
Marlene has a bachelors degree in Physical Education from Florida Atlantic University, and her Master’s Degree in Administration at Nova Southeastern University. Baby Otter was born out of necessity. Marlene’s daughter had no fear of the water, and by age 2, would simply walk into any pool. Since Marlene and all the instructors, she knew were only taught to teach children from age 3 and up, she spent the summer experimenting with her daughter and her friend’s children. Baby Otter’s five-day water survival program, which is now considered the finest swim education program and The World’s Fastest Learn To Swim Program available. The Turn, Kick, Reach® Swimming program has been successfully teaching children for over forty-three years.
