Balancing academic, athletic, and professional endeavors, Austin O’Such studies Business at the University of New Mexico. In addition, O’Such plays on the university’s baseball team. Prior to enrolling at the University of New Mexico in 2012, Austin O’Such earned an Associates of Arts degree from Yavapai College.
While enrolled at Yavapai, O’Such worked as a Marketing and Sales Intern at San Diego, California-based Spooner Boards, Inc. In 2009, he served customers and trained staff at Round Table Pizza. He also partnered with young athletes as a Personal Youth Baseball Trainer during the summers of 2009, 2010, and 2011, and was a Counselor at Stanford Baseball Camp in Stanford, California, in 2007 and 2008.
An avid traveler, Austin O’Such has visited several countries around the world, including Thailand and Peru. He spent one year studying abroad in Central American locales, including Nicaragua and Costa Rica. In addition, he played baseball for summer teams located in California and Washington State. An active volunteer, O’Such has served not-for-profit organizations, including Ronald McDonald House Charities, Habitat for Humanity, and the Boys & Girls Club of America.
