A Step Ahead Foot and Ankle Care
Put simply A Step Ahead Foot & Ankle Care in Penrith are not like other Podiatrists. We seem not to act like other Pods, think like other Podiatrists and our patient base is not like that of most other Podiatrists.
A day for our podiatrists will consist of anywhere between 10 and 12 patients with heel pain, be that plantar fasciitis, or heel spur type pain or Achilles pain. We will see each afternoon 6 to 10 kids with foot and leg pain mostly related to sports injuries. We may see through the day another 3 or 4 kids who’s parents bring them to us because they have heard we can help them with “growing pains” or help them with rotational problems “His feet turn in” or “She has duck feet”. Throw into that mix of a couple of patients with ankle pain and well that’s a pretty normal day for us.
Now, what you didn’t hear us talk about was dozens of toenails or dozens of elderly patients having dry hard skin removed. Some time ago we decided that this wasn’t for us. There is a stack of Pods in the local area that do that kind of thing and they probably do a good job of it! So we decided to focus on other areas.
Our Professional Podiatry team’s day is full of soft tissue rehab vs nail clippers. We use shockwave machines vs Nail files. Our patients are more likely to be groaning from a deep massage to their Calf Muscle than moaning from the pleasure of a foot rub. Outback of our Penrith Podiatry practice sits an approx. 150 thousand dollars
