Amanda Thurston is a Tallahassee, Florida, student who is working toward a B.A. in studio art at Florida State University. Since late 2012, she has engaged with the upscale boutique Her Kloset at Griners of Ocala as a sales associate. She manages operations and provides customers with assistance in selecting and purchasing clothes. Amanda Thurston has also guided The Lost Society Designs as CEO, owner, and artist for more than a year. Through this enterprise, she refurbishes furniture, including lamps and tables, and creates canvas paintings and prints. She also takes on photography assignments, which range from fashion shoots to newborn portraits, and designs jewelry using a combinations of beads, semiprecious stones, and metal.
Mandy Thurston completed an associate’s degree at the Tallahassee Community College before entering Florida State University. During the summer of 2012, she had the opportunity to participate in a study-abroad program in Valencia, Spain. As a studio art student, she earned credits toward her undergraduate degree. Amanda Thurston is strongly involved in the community and serves as the Little Women of Ocala’s co-vice president.
