Aaron O. Williams, MD, has spent the last eight years as a radiation oncologist at the Athens Cancer Center in Athens, Ohio. He sought out a career in medicine, specifically as an oncologist, in order to play a hands-on role in the fight against cancer. Aaron O. Williams, MD, has advanced training in brachytherapy, which he received at Seattle, Washington’s Seattle Prostate Institute.
Aaron Williams, MD, earned his doctor of pharmacy from the College of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences at Florida A & M University in Tallahassee, Florida. During this time, he was also involved with biomedical research. After receiving his degree, he remained at Florida A & M to conduct a postdoctoral pharmacy residency. Following the conclusion of this residency, he practiced pharmacy the hospital setting. Aaron Williams later was accepted and enrolled in the Doctor of Medicine program at the University of South Florida’s College of Medicine in Tampa. After a Transitional internship at Providence Hospital in Southfield, Michigan, and a residency in the Department of Radiation Oncology at Detroit’s Wayne State University, he began his career as a Radiation Oncologist. He has practiced in the community setting where his work and compassion have been greatly appreciated by patients and colleagues. In an effort to become a better physician leader, he recently earned a Master of Business Administration from the University of Tennessee in Knoxville.
