Tackifiers and polymers for better bonding. |
|
Tackifiers are polymers of amorphous, vitreous, low molecular weight hydrocarbons that promote adhesion and adhesion in hot melt and pressure sensitive adhesives. They are compatible with most base polymers, polymer modifiers and antioxidants that you can add to your adhesive formulation.
Tackifiers can influence the color, smell and stability of the adhesive. The selection depends mainly on the softening point, composition, molecular weight and molecular weight distribution.
Tackifiers are low molecular weight compounds that are added to adhesive formulations to improve adhesion of stickiness and exfoliation. Its glass transition temperature is typically higher than that of the base polymer, but its molecular weight is much lower. The tackifiers dissolve in the polymer matrix and break its structure, thus improving the mobility and adhesion of the base polymer. They also provide functionality that promotes specific adhesion, bridging and reducing molecular cohesion, which in t |
