Refrigerant poisoning occurs when someone is exposed to chemicals used to cool appliances. Refrigerant contains chemicals called fluorinated hydrocarbons (often referred to as ''Freon''). Freon is a tasteless gas, mostly odorless. It can cut vital oxygen to your cells and lungs when deeply inhaled. |
