A view of Manhattan from Pier C Park in Hoboken. U.S. Rep. Albio Sires urged tourists to come to the New Jersey Hudson River waterfront instead of taking tourist helicopters to enjoy views of New York City. Sires held a press conference at Pier A Park in Hoboken on Monday, July 8, 2013, together with mayors and residents of waterfront Hudson County municipalities, to announce he will be meeting with the Federal Aviation Administration next week to request that tourist helicopters be banned from flying over the New Jersey side of the Hudson River as the noise affects residents' quality of life.
