The purpose of the SAT is to measure a high school student's readiness for college, and provide colleges with one common data point that can be used to compare all applicants. College admissions officers will review standardized test scores alongside the student’s grade 12 score / GPA, the classes they have taken in grade 12, letters of recommendation from teachers or mentors, extracurricular activities, admissions interviews, and personal essays. The higher the score on the SAT, higher will be the options for Undergraduate admission and availing scholarship into colleges in US & Canada. The College Board has partnered with some universities in India. These universities accept the SAT scores for admissions to various programs and also offer upto 100% Tuition fee scholarship.
