Can Cats eat Oranges or can cats drink orange juice? You might have thought of this if you are eating an orange and your cat seems interested in having them. Humans can cat oranges, but can cats do the same?
The super curious nature of cats might confuse you but the answer is NO. Cats should not have oranges or orange juice. The citric acid present in oranges is believed to cause stomach irritation in cats that can lead to vomiting and diarrhea. On the other hand, cats lack the enzyme called Glucuronyl Transferase required in digesting the oil present in oranges. The result of which is this oil might build up in your cat’s body, eventually leading to toxicity.
